My look for today is dedicated to my mom. Why? Beacause it’s Mothers Day!
To my mother and to all the mothers out there — I salute you for everything you’ve done!
When I was gradeschool, most of my friends travelled and watched TV during summer breaks. But for me, I worked as a dishwasher in my mother’s ‘karenderia’. She paid me PhP 20-50 (US$ 1) per day for my services. But, sadly, I didn’t have the chance to save. Why? Because we always ended up heading to a thrift shop after I washed the dishes.
It wasn’t really a bad thing. Because of my mother’s influence, I ended up to where I am now: a person who loves fashion! Yes! It inevitably opened my eyes to all the possibilities fashion could bring. She just didn’t lead me to fashion; she taught me great values, like humility and gratitude.
Anyway, I believe I also got my fashion sense from my mother. She always values comfort. So, for today, I’d like to share my last OOTD in our trip to Tokyo — a coat. Heavily printed — but definitely comfortable.
Mama Marlene, again, Happy Mother’s Day! I always love you.
